Amp arrived timely, and VERY well packaged. Amp has vulnerable faceplate and cooling fins, yet arrived unblemished due to the extra packing. Good communication. Amp sounds great, just as described and well worth the price. Thanks!

Super transparent about what I was buying, Communicated frequently to check in and keep me up to date with everything. Even helped me with looking for a good C-mount adapter to use with the camera! Packaging was phenomenal & it got here even sooner than I expected.

High technology shaped like a vhs/dvd dub deck
This unit is chock full of technolgies that probably would have cost over $2000. a decade ago. The vhs player manages to play with great stability. I've been dubbing old vhs tapes - 15 - 25 years old and I haven't found on yet that this machine hasn't been able to play and copy over to DVD.
I suspect the VHS player's electronics include a time base corrector ("TBC"), something unavailable on a consumer level for almost the entire lifespan of the VHS tape. The "TBC" replaces the sync signals on video which has been stored on analog tape played back on a mechanical transport which inherently has instabilities. The result is a stable picture acceptable for clean conversion to digital storage - DVD.
Not really a downside but a little frustrating is the idiosyncratic behavior of the unit at times. It really is something of a computer that has a VHS unit on one side and a DVD unit on the other. Once in awhile the unit acts differently than expected even though I've done the same actions. When that happens I power the unit down, wait 10 seconds and then let the unit power up again. It acts like a computer booting up. I then perform the same dubbing actions and the machine works properly. I guess it "crashes" once in awhile and needs to reboot!
That's OK with me because I know it's an amazing unit packed with technology but for some this might be a basis for complaint. For me...it's in the other room dubbing a VHS tape I shot at the Palomino in North Hollywood in 1988, and I just let it work and work and work.
