IT'S TOO SOON TO TELL
These units function very well. They are a bit large for banjo and
definitely too large for mandolin. They have a spring without which
they are useless. I have had them only for a short while and have
no idea how long the spring will not break....as did one on the more
expensive brand. So far, so good.

Better quality material than I expected. Very handy in application and location.
Highly recommended
My only "complaint" might be the extended shipping interval.

Remote Unit was DOA
From lacrosse tech support:
"Batteries are our #1 warranty issue. Please be sure you are using name brand Alkaline batteries dated 6 years in advance or testing to at least 1.48 on a voltmeter.
The batteries were good in the display. With an EE degree and a tester, I was
able to determine this.
"You may need to contact the vendor that sold this to your through EBay as this is not one of our authorized vendors. Unfortunately because the weather station was sold by a third party, we would not be able to do warranty service."
I have yet to contact the "un-authorized vendor." I doubt that they are unaware
of their status.
