Affordable Reliable Large Capacity Offline Storage Solution For Archiving Data
This is a great solution for archiving digital photos, music and video offline and out of the cloud. It's not the fastest but still very fast for linear storage devices, I was able to back up close to 900GB in two hours using a SAS Host Controller Card with external ports on it. Installation was easy and straight forward in Windows 10. LTO Tapes themselves are built like tanks and should last 20 years or more. Way cheaper storage than hard drives per megabyte and more reliable long term.
