Excellent board for LGA 1150 (gen 4 i7s)
1 of 1 found this helpful This board has run perfect from the start, overclocks easily, excellent features, easily recognizes new components, and is fast. Limited to 32GB DDR3, but even with that
has been fast enoughj to do 3D work to a point where I pass it off to my dual Xeon for rendering. 5% faster with same components than the last board (ASUS).Definitely recommend this board, would buy it again, excellent value.

Performance and Efficiency Good, Cables an Issue
1 of 1 found this helpful BASICS
Worked right away on install and fully modular as advertised. BUT the cable specs are stated in terms of # of connections rather than # cables so '12 SATA connections' shows up as only 3 cables in the box, and 8 PCIE-6+2 connections is actually only 4 cables in the box. For dual-slot GPUs there is enough to run four but no more - if all the cables are present.
The manual is OK with a handy summary of normally included cables. The power supply has adequate stability and power to take advantage of overclocking - I run RAM at 3466 and 1950x at 4.1GHz with good stability, Platinum efficiency is excellent., Noise level similar to my 1200W EVGA and 1200W Corsair PSUs.
CONSIDER DIRECT PURCHASE TO ENSURE WARRANTY & ALL CABLES
I bought New-Open Box from a reseller, but the box apparently was resealed with missing cables (which a reseller would be unlikely to catch given a sealed box).
The unit I had was missing three of four PCI-e 6+2 cables and missing a second cpu cable (which later was supplied by seller).
So i could not run two cpus or more than two GPUs without finding additional cables. I have a bunch of spares of other brands, But couldn't use any of my non-Seasonic spares- NONE were interchangeable due to the unique design of seasonic cables. If you have the as-manufactured unit you will have just enough cables for dual cpu or threadripper, 3 to 4 double-wide GPUs and 10+ SATA devices, but no fan-only PSU ports or connectors. DONT try to use similar spare cables from other brands that are close to fitting (i.e. PSU) - I nearly ruined a motherboard trying a CPU cable that seemed to be a match. To be fair, the manual does warn not to use non-Seasonic cables, and Corsair and EVGA also have some cables that are mutually incompatible.
CABLES, CABLES, CABLES
If you buy this unit, always make sure all your cables come with it- Seasonic cables have different plugs and pinouts
than the other major brands, and it is expensive to get the missing cables without buying another full set and even more expensive if you blow motherboard trying to use a non-Seasonic cable that appears to fit.

Works fine, just be aware this adapter does not accept newer m-key NVMes, only the old B-key and B+M key
Excellent drive capacity and worked immediately upon hooking it up in a SATA bay. Just be aware that this adapter only works for B-key and B+M key NVMes, will not accept newer m-key NVMe drives such as Samsung 950/960/970/981. Therefore its use is quite limited for more recent NVMe SSDs
