The company was founded by Jeremy Farber in Albany, NY and started by assisting companies with the responsible disposal of their obsolete electronics. Securis quickly became a sought-after service provider and expanded to Washington, D.C., offering electronics recycling and data destruction services. The company continued to grow and added on-site degaussing, mobile hard drive shredding, and micro shredding technology to its service portfolio. In 2018, Securis partnered with Service Source to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities and expanded its facilities to 22,000 square feet. The company remains committed to providing environmentally sound solutions for the secure management and removal of end-of-life electronic assets.
