  This was an unpleasant and fruitless experience for me. June 8, won the bid and paid immediately. June 10, informed by seller that “eBay incorrectly calculated shipping” and seller raised the shipping price. June 12, I offered to “split the difference” and offered to pay a lower postage rate. Seller refused my compromise. June 25, seller states eBay still has not contacted them. June 28, I opened a case, and eBay unilaterally decided against my wishes that I will receive a refund.

  One of the 4 slip shades arrived broken because, even though the chandelier was boxed within an outer box, the slip shades were not wrapped with bubble sheets or packed with shipping peanuts and were allowed to bang around inside the inner box.I don’t understand why the seller did not use the eBay shipping which usually gives the seller 3 options: USPS, UPS, or FedEx at a discounted rate.
