Overheated

After I replaced the existing hard drive with this one, I installed the OS. After the desktop computer restarted, it would not boot up and was showing ODD error. When I touched the new drive, it was very hot. I reformatted this new drive and tried again. Same issue, very hot and wasn’t working at all. Tried accessing the drive with drive inserted into my remote USB docking system and connected to a laptop. No luck, it was not showing up.
