AMAZING ALBUM! So much more than the digital experience
I have to say I have an excellent vinyl setup, so read it accordingly.
I only recently found Moderat, less than a year ago, and have been listening to digital formats. When this album came out, I pre-ordered it.
I was really shocked how complete an experience it provides.
In the digital version there are some songs that feel like B-side songs, and I want to skip to those songs that "sound the best". In vinyl, the whole album is a complete experience, and I have no desire to skip anything.
Crazy thing, both of the cats came and listened to the entire album, and they wanted me to play it again when it was over!

dependable, rugged, darker sound, great value
Reliable, can handle high voltage and high startup over voltage (in my Ampex amps they see 550VDC steady state and up to 670VDC inrush). Meaty sound with a lot of substance, a darker sound relative to the 5_4 family rectifiers. The Zenith branded 5U4GB tubes are very reliable and good sounding.

I use it for image stabilization! Can shoot longer sessions because less effort to keep camera stable.
I used to think battery grips are a nuisance as they make the camera heavy and cumbersome, and with our modern mirrorless cameras getting smaller, why wound any sane person go for it.. just get an extra battery if you need longer camera life. However, I was gifted a 5D mark III with a battery grip, and I realized it takes shooting to the next level because:
1. Camera body becomes extremely steady, I get as much camera shake holding it with one hand than holding the gripless body with two hands!
2. To minimize camera shake on a gripless body I need to hold it in front of me, using my whole body to stabilize. I can hold the camera with the battery grip in any position, as get the same stability.
3. Pressing the shutter button always injects some camera shake, in any body I have used. With the battery grip it's a non-issue!
4. Changing between landscape and portrait orientations: the grip makes the camera balanced, and the shift is natural, I can shift extremely fast between the two with the lens pointing to the same target. Without the grip, major effort is needed to re-acquire the subject.
5. While the grip makes the camera noticeably heavier, on the other hand stabilizing the camera becomes so much easier. Overall, you need stronger shoulders and back to hold it, but all your muscles that would normally fatigue during shooting stay rested. Overall, I noticed I can shoot far longer with the grip and get less tired physically.
6. About this specific grip: this grip is my favorite grip ever!! Has the best feel to it. (Second best 5D mark IIIs grip, and my least favorite is the 5D mark I's grip - I am talking about Canon original grips.) This grip feels the same as the landscape orientation, with the 5D mark I grip it feels very different, like using buttons on a different camera.
7. So, overall, I use battery grips to provide IBIS for my DSLRs. In pratical use it's equivalent for me for about 3 stop of IBIS.... I got grips for all my DSLRs!!!
