Disappointing

This book started well and then there was much repetition of the salient points. The initial facts on rationing were interesting but these are such a small proportion of the book. I expected authentic recipes that made use of ingredients available during wartime. It was so disappointing to find that the recipes all included ingredients that were not readily available in the UK until at least the 1970's, Why write a book on rationing and include such unrelated uninspiring recipes?
