Great sounding speaker!
The facts:
Lightning port on top, fits and charges up to 9.7" iPad
USB, audio in, and AC ports on back
Internal battery of portable operation
The speaker not only sounds great and loud, but because of the usb port on the back, it can play and charge the older 30 pin Apple devices. When connected to AC power, the JBL onBeat mini will charge both devices. Neither device will be charged when operation on battery power. Since the devices are connected digitally, the volume buttons are reflected on the devices screen. The only disadvantage that I have seen is that it seems the OS wants to rotate video to landscape in favor of utilizing the full screen, so most videos end up being sideways when played through the dock. Locking orientation does not seem to help. Facetime works well though, so does pinball games :-)
As with most of JBL's offerings in this space, the onBeat mini continues that tradition of great sound, flexibility, and quality. Only wish the internal batteries were easily replaced.

WNDR4500 is a FreshTomato Winner
The WNDR4500 has a good combination of hardware components. I cannot say anything about the Netgear firmware that runs on it as I immediately replace it with FreshTomato. V2 is the best iteration of this model. Lots of storage space for the firmware file, operating memory, and ample nvram for storing vpn keys. 600MHz processor and strong 2.4 and 5GHz radios make this router a winner.

Fantastic router when used with Open Source Firmware
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great router because of its flexibility. The hardware design of this specific model WTR54GL allows the owner to replace the limited Linksys firmware with a much more reliable and feature rich open source firmware. Multiple communities are OpenWRT, DD-WRT, and my personal favorite, Tomato. These open source firmware packages turn this $19 router into a $100 or more router. The open source firmware makes efficient use of the hardware to add features and performance. A great all around router for the home and even small business. Quality of Service and filtering alone makes this router worth the purchase despite its product age.
