One of two had bad zwave
I bought Two of these in March and just got to installing them, however I had a problem. The first one installed, seemed to work fine, and even paired via z-wave. However, it wouldn’t function correctly. It wouldn’t share info with my hub, lock or unlock, or even load entry codes.
I thought I was doing something wrong so I tried again several times by removing and re adding. Same problem. I even tried a different brand of hub, similar problem. Connected but didn’t show proper info or work.
I finally tried swapping for the second lock. This one works fine. Loads codes, locks, unlocks, all good. The first must be bad. These are refurbs, but I’ll try to get an exchange.
By the way, I’m using a Ring alarm system. The other one I tried on the bad lock was Samsung SmartThings but I didn’t try it with the second lock.
