Making sawdust
1 of 1 found this helpful Quality is great, very solid and easy to adjust. The manufacturer states 50-70cc saw, I will say from experience 50cc is the bare minimum. My saw was a high quality 54cc 3.3hp top end homeowner/entry level professional saw. It had all it wanted to cut 11” planks out of poplar, it took about 5 minutes per 8’ section. It was doing a decent job, but getting pretty hot and used a tank of gas and oil cutting 3 slabs. Because I had no intention of destroying a good saw, it was time to upgrade saws. Now with a 60cc professional 4.5hp saw and a 20” bar, the same 11” poplar plank took 2.5 minutes. An 8’ long 15” wide pine plank took 5 minutes. So I would say at least 4hp, but 5hp wouldn’t hurt either. If you have a large enough saw, it is a fairly inexpensive add on to play with. But if like me, you buy the saw mill and then have to upgrade saws, it becomes an expensive endeavor. I totally enjoy the saw mill and would but it again. But now I figure I need to cut 40 poplar planks to pay for the toys. Oh well!

Leatherman 938650 Original Wave Brown Leather Sheath

Leatherman original
I’m glad there are still a few of these left. I can get 4-5 years out of one of these before I wear through the belt loop strap. These are the last of the new old stock. There is nothing wrong with the nylon sheath that you get now, but I just like the original leather ones.
