great 1g switch
now that these switches are EOL the prices have plummeted. You can upgrade these to the 15 code base which makes them now fullly featured for CCIE studying. Plus it comes with 2 10g ports if you need that kind of bandwidth. Now its worth it to change out the older 3560 switches which are 100 base.

Logicline GLC-T
The Logicline GLC-T is a 1Ge SFP+ tranceiver that is compatible with Cisco platforms.
I am using these in a Cisco nexus 3064PQ.
The first thing is that the switch did not recongize the SFP. The noremal workaround is to set the interface speed to 1000. After that the SFP was recongnized and could be brought up.
Performace is the same as any 1Ge SFP. So far I have not had any interface errors or packet drops due to the module.
These devices are much cheaper than the Cisco branded modules. As long at the platform can recognize the module, there should be not problem.
All told I recommend these units. You will save a lot of money and the performance is the same as the real Cisco GLC-T.

High performing and very stable switch.
this product is end of life so you can get these at rock bottom prices. They are one of the fasted switches on the market. The platform is rock solid. I have been running these for years and have not had any problems.
