A big, heavy duty sling bag
I bought this bag with the intent of using it as an airline carry-on bag. I have not had a chance to travel with it yet but I can say it looks like it will hold most of what I need for a flight. It's big enough to hold a large format magazine (the smaller Vertx EDC Transit is not), a laptop and/or table, earbuds, books, etc. It's well made and has a reasonable amount of organizational pockets, etc.
This bag is fairly heavy but it is well built and should stand up to heavy use.
While the strap is good, Maxpedition's AGR series straps are a little easier to use. Maxpedition doesn't make a sling bag this large though so they're not an option if you need a bag this big. I prefer sling bags for this use case because I like to be able to rotate the bag to the front for access to things like tickets and passports without having to take off the bag. This is about as big as you'd want to go for a single strap bag though. The only real drawback is there's no dedicated outside water bottle pocket but that's a design choice and I can't really fault it for that.
Because this is a discontinued bag, availability is limited. When you can find them, prices can be quite good, making it a lot easier to take a chance. I bought the EDC Transit first at half off MSRP and because of the aforementioned size issue picked this one up at half off too.

Great little three channel thermometer
This works with Oregon Scientific THR138 compatible systesm. These are no longer available from Oregon Scientific or Taylor so if you've got a compatible receiver and one of your transmitters dies, this is the way to go. This receiver gives you the basics: three channels, current, high and low temperature.
I wish I could get another one.
