Does the job and does it well.
I can not find any faults with the urn. The only thing that I keep In mind, is the longevity and integrity of the heating unit. This to me, is the heart of the unit. But time will tell if there is to be an issue.
So far, it does exactly what it is suppose to do. It brews up for about 40 minutes (when filled to full capacity) and than it switches to keep hot mode. There doesn't to see to be an auto shut off. I leave it on till I don’t need it on anymore, which works perfect for me. Not being much of a coffee drinker, i use it for brewing large amounts of Tea (three standard Tea bags per 80 ounces. preferably the flat type ) based on smaller amounts, this works for me. The tea bags are placed in a rosette circular pattern on the brewing basket radiating from the center outward, just beneath the baffle of the brewing stem.
The pouring spigot works extremely well, with no after drip after shutting the spigot. My advise is to hold on to the spigot, instead of letting it snap back after finishing the decanting of your beverage.
To recap my findings on Coffee / Tea Urn. is, It works superbly, with no faults at all. It does exactly what it is suppose to do, and does them well. Addendum: The only thing I would change, is to make the water level sight tube more exposed, in order to see it more readably from different angles.

Great product does it's job
Great product, The Strawberry – Kiwi is a great combo but it is incredibly too sweet. One other thing on the negative side. Red dye #40 lake is added. Why is color important to the product ?!?!?? I wish they'd leave it out!

1 of 1 found this helpful Had to replace a fairly new temp gauge that was ultra junk. It’s true: “you get what you pay for” I bought this one. I like the dimming feature for personal illuminating setting, day/night 6 settings in all. The sending sensor was well made, not like the brand X I wasted my money on. The instructions were concise and straight forward. Ample wire for connections. It makes several fast sweeps of the dial when you first power up and when you shut down. I think this is some sort of self test mode it goes through each time. It starts off at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Actually this a good base to start with, it keeps the sweep of the dial more condensed and does away with less critical unnecessary numbers. The analog matches the digital readout all the time. The fairing supplied, helps cut any glare that might strike the dial face. Over all I’m very pleased with the performance and design.
