2 of 2 found this helpful I originally wanted a 4x5 field camera which would have required that I acquire an enlarger also. The 980 has a good range of movements,tilt, shift, etc. It's very well made, relatively light weight and compact, it should be easy to take hiking and biking. It doesn't have a rotating back but there is a tripod socket on the side. I have run a few rolls of film through it and the image quality is excellent! It is a totally mechanical camera so there are a lot of steps to go through to take a picture which is part of the enjoyment of using the camera for me.
