Perfect single-channel I/O for recording
1 of 1 found this helpful The Audient iD4 is perfect for my desktop recording and voice over work. The preamp has a gorgeous, subtle color that suits my large diaphragm mic amazingly well. It was ready to go pretty much immediately upon plugging in, and reacted immediately to Adobe Audition. It does take a couple of uses to get familiar with the layered controls, but it's completely worth the effort. This is a solid, wonderful sounding unit that takes up hardly any space and is perfect for a single channel I/O with zero lag for direct monitoring during tracking.

Solid pro-level fixture holder
These holders also work on baby pins and extensions for C-stands, though you may have to sand (use a Dremel tool) the through-hole a little to widen it. The photo shows an aluminum 5/8" grip head pin attached to a 3lb fixture, sitting on top of a light stand.
The angle adjustment takes a few more turns because there is a detent flange inside that allows the two halves to lock tight. The fixture mentioned above is well below the weight limit, but does extend out about 30". There is zero movement in the holder once it's tight.
Since buying one of these as a tester, I look for sales and plan to replace most of my cheaper umbrella holders since these are far more versatile.
I really appreciate the safety feature, as well, which I've also used for cable retention.
