It's James H. Schmitz, you cannot go wrong!
If you like Schmitz, you'll like this. If you're unfamiliar, it's not a bad place to start. This collection includes the excellent short novel The Demon Breed, and several good short stories and novellas. Schmitz puts his heroes in terrible situations from which they have to use brains and skill to triumph. Includes unusual and scary monsters of many varieties. Unlike space opera, the focus is usually on a small group stuck on a very dangerous planet. Enjoy!

Great music, cheap case
The music is excellent. The CDs play, but the case they came in is broken in two places so that two of the CDs are loose. Know where I can get another 4-CD box?

Good stories, awful cover
There are a thousand editions of Conan out there; no need to settle for this one with horrible cover art. Conan looks like a scrawny sneak thief!
