Direct fit
Direct fit, prevented having to replace entire unit. Unit is set into a tile ceiling so replacing entire unit would have been a lot more work.
Looks and sounds like a new exhaust fan. Probably not as quiet as a modern day exhaust fan but it is a replacement fan for a 1962 (year house originally built) exhaust fan/light combo unit.

Neat
Haven't had it long enough to judge it's durability but it is small, compact and easy to use. I am looking forward to using it in lieu of a conventional tape measure. It will certainly be more convenient for longer measurements and long measurements can be done by one person. It doesn't come with a case but I found an old electric razor case that the tool fits into perfectly.

Convenient size with limited functions
0 of 1 found this helpful Had three of these units already in use when the number 3 on one unit failed to register every time (wore out). I wanted an identical replacement unit. New unit has started being erratic in that it may advance the channel being viewed by one when starting to manually set in a different channel on the keypad. If you continue to input new channel numbers, you go to channels defined by an incomplete set of digits. A second try has always been successful - so far.
