A Classic Take On A Classic Tale
While this story has been put on screen several times, I think this is the best. The take on all the characters, not just Poirot, in this version makes a point of presenting the gathering of characters truly as both suspicious and engaging. The outcome, whether or not you are aware of the story, is well told, and engaging. I feel the true strength in this version is the feeling of closeness and entrapment that comes with being not only trapped in a train in an avalanche, but trapped with a murderer. The viewer can feel empathy for all the characters, and also feel pride in the well presented outcome. Highly recommended.
The Doonesbury Chronicles by Garry Trudeau (1975, Trade Paperback)
    Jun 13, 2023
A Ste[ Back To The Heady Early Days Of An American Classic
This book is a collection of Doonesbury comics from the early days of the strip's history. The artwork may be still unrefined, and some of the events visited may seem dated, but the Trudeau wit is there, and the characters are showing the roots of the icons that we know and love. You get to read the original gags that still get revisited today. (Mark waging his one man war on the Nixon administration with chants of "Guilty!! Guilty! Guilty!" B.D.'s final Biology paper "Our Friend The Beaver". Zonker's interview with the hapless Roland Hedlty about the modern college life of hedonism.Joanie Caucus escape from a loveless marriage. And Mike's early misadventures in socializing. If you are a loyal reader of the strip, this is required reading. Highly recommended.

A Solid Keyboard For Older Systems
I purchased this keyboard as a replacement for one on a Heidelberg Digital Press. My technical support could no longer find these keyboards through their approved sources, and I went looking. The keyboard works quite well, and the largest hindrance to installation is the maze of conduits and connectors in the press. The old keyboard had been in operation for over ten years without a glitch, and only died because of a roof leak that doused the machine. I would recommend this keyboard for anyone with older style Heidelbergs, and suggest people stock up while they can get them, since the approved Lenovo replacement board doesn't work well with these machines.
