Perfect deal for homeowner/DIYers
At the $190 I paid, this was an excellent value. I provides a good selection of commonly used tools for homeowners and DIYers at a very good price. AND with three batteries to start off. It is NOT brushless, but for the vast majority of people who do not want to spend two or three times as much for the brushless versions and do not need them, this is a great deal. Remember, these were the top of the line tools just a few years ago. Quality is great as are most Milwaukee tools.
Shopping carefully, you could spend another hundred bucks for one bigger battery, and maybe one more tool you might need and you, likely as an individual, would be set for a decade or so in terms of power tools...as a homeowner/diyer... Now of course buying things like this can easily become an addiction so be careful as these are gateway drugs...

Excellent saw for specific purposes
1 of 1 found this helpful My only complaint on this is the cord. But at this price (50% of what I paid) and if you don't mind the cord AND you used it for a select use, this is hard to beat.
Due to the projects I was doing, I ended up getting a cordless version in black and yellow that is also quite nice but you can buy four of these at the 50 buck price for the price of that one.
If you are doing a lot of cross cuts short cuts, this is an excellent product. It isn't a substitute for a regular 7 1/4 saw or a table saw.
Getting this unit is what led me to the other. The advantage of this is its size and "handiness." This type of small circ saw is very quick and easy to use vs the "standard" design. Whether you realize it or not, there are more logistics to a standard design including down to the final positioning before the cut. This just "cuts" to the chase so to speak. It isn't for all jobs but tor the jobs it is designed for it is hard to beat...IF you don't mind the cord.

Shhh, this one beats brushless
1 of 1 found this helpful This is sort of a hidden jewel of DeWalt impact drivers. I have a brushless DeWalt and this one beats it. And don't just believe me. there are lots of reviews by contractors video and words that note that they prefer this one. One reason is cost when they can get them at prices about half of a brushless one on sale. another is comfort in the hand and still another is robustness as in dropping it and it just keeps going. There are also stories of the newer one providing the added value of smoke under hard use...
And at 50% or less the price of the newer one (on sale), what's to argue about. This used to be the top of the line for DeWalt back in brushed days. But they still make it as the last of the brushed versions. There must be a reason... Ergonomically, I prefer it. I have looked and cannot tell why, but it feels better in the hand. And that can make a difference after a few hundred screws.
I may not have the little switch for speeds, but a good finger on a variable speed and some experience makes that not terribly important. Don't hesitate on this thinking you are getting an old obsolescent product. This is an oldie but extremely goodie
