Not universal
Do not buy if you own Oben ballheads. I can't speak for other manufacturers, but the plate is too narrow to be secured with Oben's quick release mechanism...it just slides back and forth

Good value
1 of 2 found this helpful I received mine with a couple decent scratches on the lid (expected) and a faint dark spot in the middle of the screen that’s apparent on a light background but other that, I’m satisfied. Everything works great and the inside surface is very clean. I plan to upgrade to an SSD, 8GB of RAM and a new battery and with that my total investment is still under $500....good luck finding a better laptop with similar performance at that price.
