This book has everything for someone looking for a quick answer on a gemstone or a gemology related topic. Its small size makes it perfect to bring along to a show or when shopping for gems and jewelry. I'm a novice gemology enthusiast and I always have it by my side. So far, there hasn't been a case when I couldn't find an answer in this book. The only thing lacking might be the latest industry trends and up to date information about the active mines.
The pictures are amazing but more jewelry examples would be welcome. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and customers.

Useful reference book, easy to use and understand, extensive minerals list
The content of this book is well organized and clearly presented, it's easy to use even by someone like me, who is a newbie in crystal healing. I've been able to find there information about newer gemstones like Tanzanite (which became popular in jewelry) that I could not find in my other lithotherapy books. I used the book for research on some hard to find crystals, bought some of the described crystals online and tried the healing and chakra rebalancing techniques described in the last chapters. I consult this book before I buy new jewelry with natural gemstones and thanks to the book, I've discovered a few new crystals I love, like Kunzite, Labradorite and Petalite. I'm going to get the Crystal Bible 2 now and continue to discover this new age approach. I will continue to recommend this book to friends, family and customers interested in crystal healing and the virtues of minerals and gemstones used in jewelry.
