Know your wind.
I bought this for my wife. We live on a lake and some days you are not sure of the wind direction or speed. We are now.

New Hummingbird
I recently purchased a new Hummingbird HELIX7 Chirp SI Fishfinder GPS G2. My wife and I installed it in about four hours. It wouldn't have taken that long but I had to remove a competitors unit first. I took it out on the lake with just the thought of getting it up and running and getting used to it. It didn't take very long at all to figure it out. I wasn't too interested in the down scanning. The side scanning is what amazed me. I went over some of my old fishing spots and saw what was holding the fish. There was a lot of rock on the bottom. Just cruising around watching the bottom I spotted what looked like a sunken boat. I would recommend this unit to everybody.

Old guy installer
I really like the look and quality of the bug shield. This is not the first vehicle I have installed one on. The chrome really looks good on my F-150 as there is a lot of chrome on the front of the truck. I'll be seventy next year and found it a bit difficult putting it on by my self. I should have gotten some help to hold it in place. I found it difficult to try and hold it behind the rubber gasket and line up the screw and keep the plastic piece in the hole. I like the idea and maybe they could come up with a piece that would pop into the hole and stay there on it's own. I would buy this again if I got another new truck.
