Great Line Mixer at a good price
I run a large number of keyboards and sound modules as the main keyboard player in our band. (Currently, for our Christmas sets, I'm running 11 separate keyboards/sound modules--yes, I'm a bit out of control!) I also run each of these in stereo. I needed something small that could handle a large number of stereo channels, preferably that could fit into my rack system. The Alesis MultiMix 8 Line does the trick. 8 stereo channels in a small 1U rack unit. With a stereo TRS connecting cable, I can hook 2 of these units and just run a stereo signal out of the back of the second mixer. The MultiMix works perfectly for this--I am now running 11 sound sources in stereo out of two of these units with volume control for each channel and a single volume control for the entire mix in the second unit so that my sound guy only gets two channels, one he pans left and the other he pans right. All of my set up with 11 keyboards and my one vocal channel only takes up 3 channels in the main board--all because of the MultiMix. Hook up is easy. The controls are straight forward. And the units add absolutely no noise to the system. I highly recommend this item, especially for keyboardists!

Great Keyboard Expression Pedal
1 of 1 found this helpful Though I'm sure there are other applications, I bought this pedal in order to control my keyboard volume during live shows, and it works perfectly for this purpose. First, I run my keyboards in stereo and this pedal has stereo ins and outs. Secondly, open the pedal to the highest volume and set your keyboard volume to your loudest volume desired in the main mix. Thirdly, close the pedal to absolute minimum and then use the volume knob on the side to turn your keyboard down to the lowest volume desired in the main mix. Now you have the volume parameters set for your show. No more cranking the pedal up too much or turning it down too low. I used it for my synth module running my B3 organ sounds for my last show and it worked perfectly. It's ruggedly built and ergonomically well designed. Tension on the pedal was pretty good when I received it, but it allows adjustments and I'm going to tighten it up just a bit for my taste--a great feature to have (I hate when I accidentally brush up against a volume pedal and I wind up changing the volume unintentionally). Great pedal and I'm planning on getting more of them to run all my keyboards through. Recommend it highly!

Solid Piece of Gear
This thing isn't fancy, but it's super convenient and seems fairly indestructible. There's no filtering or power conditioning going on (and it doesn't claim to), but as a power distributor, there's nothing better out there. I needed more outlets in my rack than my power condtioner supplied, so I got this and it worked like a charm. More outlets than anything else on the market for a rack unit, plus there's outlets in the back and in the front. I've used one for years and recently had need for another, got it, and I'm very pleased. I recommend it highly.
