if it's good enough for the SPD where I live!!, it's good enough for me as a "ham" radio!!!!
1 of 2 found this helpful It might be real CHEAP but where I live the State Police bought over 100 of them!!! and no complaints!!! so a friend whose on the local FD bought one and I bought one to make "Ham Radio" out of. found that programing it is really easy! downloaded "Dummies Guide to Programing Your BAO-FENG Radio!!! This dummy now has no trouble doing it!!! I couldn't find any software that would work on my Mac, and I wasn't about to pay the local two-way radio shop $85 an hour to do it!!!! bottom line, great little radio at a fraction of what I paid (second hand even) for my K/W TK-3100 or my TK-280!!!!! luv it!!!
