A Unique Lego Minifig
Yet another offering in the on-going and growing Lego minifigure collection. From Series 11, Lady Robot certainly reflects the fun and playful spirit of our friends at Lego. With bright colors, a clever and unique design esthetic, this minifigure should bring some fresh whimsy to any serious collector of Lego minifigs!

A Great Addition to Your Spider Library!
This is an incredibly fun way to teach kids (and spider-friendly adults) all about the internal workings of their friendly local tarantula! With flip pages that provide visual and sculptural details about all of the inner working organs, this is a great way to help learn more about spider biology!! My only concern about this unique and fun spider-related science tool is the somewhat fragile nature of each of the plastic layers (where you can peel back the heart, lungs, etc.). If shipping gets rough, or if the book is not sufficiently protected, it can easily break. However, on the good side, a small touch of superglue managed to repair my recently received copy of this wonderful addition to my spider library!! Highly recommended for any fans of arachnids!!

A Perfect Book by an Incredible Author
Let's talk about how perfect Monstrous Regiment is as a book. This is one of my absolute favorites from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. I have multiple editions, plus the audiobooks version. Fans will already know about this series and the important place that this book has in the overall world-building achievement of an author who was, sadly, taken from us way too soon. If you have not read any discworld books, this one is a wonderful first start. On one level, STP's story looks at a rag-tag group of diverse individuals and how they work together to accomplish an almost impossible task. There is wonderful comedy, some intense emotional moments and, looking back on the loss of the author, some very personal peeks into a frustrating illness and horrible situation. On a deeper level, this story allows STP to explore societal commentary on the tragedy of war, human diversity, sexual identity and how we relate to each other through the fog of assumption, unknown bigotry and group pressure. Honestly, I cannot recommend this book highly enough!!
