Great Show-biz Read
This is a charming book, a collection of essay-portraits on several “show people,” including Ralph Richardson, Johnny Carson, Mel brooks, and others. The book is well written and insightful, of a little dated (1981). But it’s well worth the reading for anyone interested in compelling personalities at the top of their professions.

Great visit back to the joy of the Fab Four
This is a great documentary for any Beatles fan or even ay fan of music. The footage, the interviews, the sound, and the editing are all remarkable. One of the best videos on the Beatles ever. It is a “self portrait” and therefore uncritical, but it is not trying to do that. It recreates the energy and the joy of those heady days. But more than mere nostalgia.
