About
I have been passionate about photography for the past decade. But since retiring, obsessive might be a more fitting adjective. As a result, I have bought far more kit than is necessary, far more than is healthy. So I also sell a lot of what I have bought. My aim is to not lose too much money rather than make a profit. And I occasionally help local charity shops with their cameras and lenses (by which I mostly mean putting the correct batteries in them, checking their condition and suggesting a price). I also run two photographic Meetup groups (attendance is always free of charge). So hopefully you can see that I am absolutely not going to scam you.
Oh, yes, and I always accept returns for any reason at all, so you couldn't be more safe buying from me.

Self-indulgent stream of consciousness
1 of 1 found this helpful As a photographer, I assumed more of this book would be about photography. By the mid-point in the book I had read a great deal about her illness and 5-day-a-week psychoanalysis for 5 years and her love of Freud. A short section on photography and accident showed promise, but much of the narrative was in diary form. So I learned that she had to reread bits of her chosen authors' works and how she spent a lot of time sleeping and that she loved little "asides" in the texts she read because they revealed much about the writer's feelings and emotions. Oh, yes, and she doesn't think highly of photographers who make huge prints. Is that it? Important because it's big? Well, I have huge sympathy for her disdain, but she absolutely does not earn the right to be dismissive given how little of interest she offers on the topic. And her own few photographs in the book are just awful.
