Model replica with a past.
This Lionel model train has the look and feel of what I rode 50 years ago with the chains and running lights. They were 50 years old when I rode them and state of the art when made in 1915. Just shows how times have changed thru the years.

The value of old design
The old fashion track allow the use of magnitraction to work because of the steel rails. Many of the modern track are made from materials which are nonmagnetic and considerable pulling power is lost for older Lionel locomotives..

Days of the Golden Age and memories.
This is a train set from the early 50's during Lionel's golden age with one of their better locos with a couple of classic operating cars which with lubing and occasional cleaning will run for another hundred years or better.
