Plastic part dangerous ! Fails and uncontrollably shoots flame! pic.
Dec 13 update - Danger! Plastic part of valve seen at left fails and gas
uncontrollably escapes - Danger! Only way to stop gas is knock pot support
off then knock valve to unscrew it too. Very scary item. Should be recalled.
The pot resting support metal is too flimsy. When I put oil in the frying pan
it all went to one side. The plus side is you can press hard on the pan and
the weak metal will bend and you can get the oil more even. My years old
camp stove was very rusty and still strong and un-bendable. The gage
needs to be increased in thickness about 2x. Also the burner is more
subject to wind problem that causes fuel to ignite inside the burner head. If
this is un-noticed heat will not be correct for cooking and it is possible the
burner head may melt, depending on it's melt point, but it will be slightly
eroded very time this happens. And it is a bit scary.
