Made an old, slow, frustrating desktop into a perfectly usable computer

Asked to resurrect an old Compaq sr5223WM (circa 2007) into something usable, I increased the RAM from 1 to 2 GB and installed Windows 10 32 bit (replacing Vista). The CPU was an AMD Sempron 3600+, a single core processor that ran a little bit faster than 1.8 MHz. Even with the additional RAM and the installation of a much better OS, the computer still ran slow. So I replaced the CPU with the AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+, which has two cores with each core running at 2.5 MHz. Wow ... the performance of the computer is much, much faster, and the computer runs quickly enough to be used for "Surfing the Net", Email, Word Processing ... the usual things done on a desktop computer. Of course this is not a "Game" machine ... it was never built to be such, but it works well doing the things this machine was built to do. I ordered this on Thursday evening, it was mailed to me on Friday, and I received it USPS on Monday. Good Chip, good service, 5 Stars!
