The Moto G3, a blast from the recent past...
This device's age aside, the 2015 Entry level-Mid Ranger ran Android rather well then and the same holds true today. A reasonably decent experience is still on offer here along with a classic retro design. And being made of plastic, the risk of destroying the aesthetics is greatly reduced by comparison to today's glass sandwiches.

The Moto G5, the Moto that stepped it up a notch.
By that I'm referring to the metal back plate rather than the poly carbonate build. It offers Moto's great take on the Android experience and solid hardware here make for a solid performer who won't necessarily win the race, but it will certainly finish every race.
