Not what I was hoping for
1 of 13 found this helpful I purchased this adapter to use one of my two Kinects on PC in hopes of using it as a webcam. Unfortunately, I should have done more research on the subject as it appears the Kinect 2.0 cannot be used for Webcam purposes in the general sense. There are some apps out there that will allow the Kinect to work as a cam but it's useless if you're wanting to use it for recording in OBS or use with Skype or any other actual programs as you are refined to those specific apps.
Now if you bought a Windows Kinect version and wanting to convert it over for your Xbox then this will be the item for you. Fortunately it didn't cost to much, $28, so I won't complain. I'll keep it on hand or bundle it with my spare Kinect if I ever decide to sell it but at this point it's worthless to me.
