If you don't have a wealth of automotive experience and a fully equipped machine shop including a lathe you are wasting your money and will be forced to buy a new seat track for 450.00 after attempting this repair. There is no turning back. Even if u succeeded in getting the gear on the shaft it locks up in the housing. $81.00 up a wild hogs a**. My loss learn from my mistake. Fyi I'm a 20 year experienced gm technician that was trying to save a few dollars. Now I'm purchasing a seat track because my seats rocks back and forth like a rocking chair.
