A campy Asian flick -- I kinda liked it
1 of 7 found this helpful I enjoyed this movie for the sheer campiness and comedic kung-fu. It's an interesting film style that borders on its own genre. This film is created by the same team that brings us Kung-Fu Hustle.
The story follows a group of men who practice a special form of kung-fu. They come together and apply their skills to the game of soccer. The soccer form borders on a superhero/video game style that is powerful and sci-fi. Kicking a ball can peel back the ground and generate bolts of fire. Fun to watch, but not realistic.
Like I said, it's fun and interesting if you like campy films. If you want something realstic, this isn't for you.

Don't waste your money or time ...
3 of 16 found this helpful This movie wanted to be "Kindergarten Cop" ... but is more of a 'Vin Diesel flop'.
The plot is weak and the acting weaker. Buff Vin is sent to watch over a family of troublesome kids, as danger ensues the kids grow to like their bodybuard. It's cliche and poorly acted.
I wouldn't suggest wasting your time on this one.

A fantastic romantic comedy!
0 of 6 found this helpful Love Actually is actually a sleeper movie -- one of those films that didn't get much publicity but is an amazingly witty and interesting movie. I'm not a big fan of watching the same movie more than once, but this is one movie that I've easily watched 10 times.
The movie weaves together the lives and stories of different on the days leading up to Christmas. The Prime Minister (Hugh Grant) of England and his secretary, the Prime Minister's sister (Emma Thompson) and her husband (Alan Rickman), two movie stand-ins, a has-been rock idol, a cater-waiter, a recent widower and his son, an artist and his friend's fiance, and much more.
The stories show the joys of love, the pain of loss, and the excitement for new beginnings. Brilliantly told, the movie captivating and fun, with moments of sadness intermixed. By the time the film comes to an end, you are laughing and filled with happiness.
As an added bonus, the movie has a great soundtrack -- including 'All I Want for Christmas'.
