Lots of power in a small package!
1 of 1 found this helpful These Atmel AVR controllers are feature rich. The quality of your firmware dictates the performance.
I was able to implement a software UART, measure a photodiode using the ADC, and output a 3 channel software PWM to drive an RGB LED, and only 32% flash was consumed.
Using the on board oscillator, you save space and reduce the needed support components.

Good starting radio
This is my first real RC radio and it was both easy and intuitive to set up and operate.

Range, power, speed, price, very good indeed!
I was able to directly drive these servos with a microcontroller (more specifically, an Atmel ATmega8). Sending them a 50Hz PWM of 0.8-2.1% DC will yeild a range of over 180 degrees.
These servos respond fast to change from one extreme to the other.
I did observe that they operate best at 5V.
