Apple MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop - MQD32LL/A ( 2017, Silver) 8/10 Cond 318 cycles

Good option for a kid's computer
Works well for a kid's remote-learning tool, where a current Macbook or Macbook air would be overkill (and twice as expensive), but still runs MacOS. The screen isn't the highest-resolution retina type, but it's bright and more than enough for worksheets and the like. Speakers are plenty loud for schoolwork. Pretty good battery life, even with >300 cycles already at the time of purchase. Sturdy - survived a tumble down the stairs with a pretty big dent but no loss of functionality as far as I can tell. I don't think this 2017 model air has a T2, so it hopefully will be possible to upgrade the ssd later if needed.

Great, except for the glued-on plastic collar
The processors arrived early, were packed reasonably securely, and are working fine so far. My only quibble is that they came with blue plastic collars glued onto them. I removed them to make sure they fit into the motherboard sockets. It wasn't too hard to do, but I worried a bit that I might damage the chip.
Mini SATA mSATA SSD to MACBOOK PRO Retina A1425 A1398 Adapter

Worked for upgrading the SSD in an Early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15"
I got this adapter in order to install a higher-capacity SSD into my Early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15" laptop, because the old one was getting full. It seems to fit just fine in place of the old SSD, holding a mSATA drive pulled from a Samsung T5. Based on reviews of other mSATA adapters, I worried that the adapter would be too thick, and that bottom cover of the laptop would warp or bend when I put it back on after installation, but this one seems to fit just fine. I used an external mSATA enclosure and Disk Utility to clone the old drive onto the new SSD before installing it, and the laptop booted right up with all my data once I installed the adapter with the new drive and put everything back together. The only hiccup was that my Microsoft Office license somehow disappeared and needed to be re-installed. I'm not sure if that's just a general thing that happens when a system drive is replaced.
