Badly described
The item is not engraved, it is printed on re constituted material. I would assume it’s only meant for indoor use as it would turn to mush in next to no time in the rain.

Refused to program
3 of 3 found this helpful I've had like to of these baofeng 888s sets before and they programmed very easily. It was time to replace some, so I bought six and expected to have them turned round in minutes after charging. How wrong I was, these sets didn't work well out of the box and upon examining their programming, there seemed no reason for it. I spent days attempting to get them to talk to each other and had nothing but trouble. I sent them back and ordered elsewhere.
When the new ones arrived I noticed a difference right away, the design of the sets were more like my original sets and not lake the previous faulty ones, the most noticeable being that the malfunctioning units had a cheap plastic one piece belt clip and the mounting was directly into the plastic case, the new Ines were like the older Ines I had and had a sprung belt clip and the mountings on the case were metal and part of the chassis. In future I will not waste my time on the more plasticky units.
