Best performer and great value
2 of 2 found this helpful Best razor, I've tried many. Price has come way down now so this is now a great value. Since replacement blades are so expensive, I just buy a new razor every couple years to keep up with the later technology (but rarely is it worth the extra for the 'bleeding edge' stuff like software revisions for beard length. I tried the very expensive Japanese Lambash rev. C and frankly can't tell the difference (except way more expensive).

Battery is gone in minutes, don't do it
6 of 10 found this helpful I don't think the 60volt technology is ready for prime time. I can't clear one porch without a backup battery in tow. My first try, I can't get a battery to last 10 minutes with this. It is very powerful, but to get it to do the job, you have to run it at a fraction of it's potential speed. I would try the 40 volt first, this is not ready for prime time, and there's few other 60 volt tools.

Very good but expensive, slightly better than my old Pan. ES-LV95-S
I am an early adopter, really importer, of shavers (have had my Panasonic ES-LV95-S for years. The chrome was peeling off and the blades were dull. Rather than spend a fortune for sharper blades again, plus the irreplaceable trimmer head was dull, dull, dull, I elected to find the best new shaver out there. Once again my research led me to the latest and greatest Panasonic. This one is excellent, the best electric I've ever used (I've used 'em all). When I think about how much I spend shaving literally everyday, over the time frame of the year, this seems like a solid personal investment. Or at least that's my rationalization. Shave is very nice. Very comfortable. Pretty efficient. Keeps getting incrementally better, but not huge leaps. I like the new hard case as well. Would give it five stars for function, but four stars given the high price and only incremental improvements over competitors (and its own older models).
