Great sound, but user interface could be improved
I bought this receiver to replace a six year old Yamaha that developed a nasty short circuit. The sound quality of the Onkyo TX SR607 is excellent and in fact an improvement despite somewhat lower power than my previous unit. I have two complaints. 1) the on screeen interface only works through the hdmi video. It does not work with component video or analog. I can see no reason for this as a user interface is hardly HD. So user setup is not as simple as it could be. 2) There are not enough outputs for multi-room setups. And it does not have RCA type connections for the multi-room that it does have. I ended up spoofing it to meet my need, but my older receiver was easier to configure.

Adequate, not excellent
None of the outlets are unswitched. Also it seems upside down for hanging.
