Quiet managed gigabit switch is a great value
Can't beat this managed gigabit switch (all ports are gigabit-capable) for value. And, it's quiet. A perfect wiring closet switch for a small site (including home office).

Perfect for what it was designed for; don't exceed its abilities and it will perform reliably!
As long as one doesn't insert large knarly/knotted logs into this splitter, it works wonderfully. I would stay under 8 inches in diameter as a comfortable splitting task. Anything larger than that requires putting your full weight on the foot pedal, with you coming off the ground to press down in a stomping action, which is not recommended. Stay within the operating parameters of the tool, and it works perfectly.

Great way to add L3 (route-mode) ports to older MSRx0 series routers
If you're looking to add Gig ports to your older MSR router via a MIM module (MSRx0, e.g. MSR-20), this is the ticket. The only issue is that these ports are "link-mode route" (L3) only; you cannot make them bridge mode to e.g. assign a VLAN or VLAN interface. But, knowing that limitation, this card works great to add L3 ports to these older MSR routers.
