Great phone case but belt holster needs improvement
I'll try and be as descriptive as possible. For information purposes my case fits the Google Nexus 6p... I'm guessing results may vary. So first off Great phone case very sturdy, stylish and simple, and very cost effective. I expect the the case to last almost as long as the phone. It's also really good at keeping out dirt and debris. I take it apart once every 1-2weeks to find little or no dirt that could cause scratches to our expensive devices. But if you work in a dirty environment I would advise an additional sandwich bag for added protection. It has plastic film to act as a screen protector which is great. In my case I have an additional screen protector under the case provided one and user interface is still perfect. There is not much to dislike! The semi hard rubber texture of the case is a bit weird feeling but at that point I'm just being picky. 8/10 on the phone case because everything can be improved. The case can only be stored face in on the holster otherwise it won't fit. Please fix this.
Now to the belt holster. Simply put..It gets the job done. Of course you have 360° of rotation so naturally your phone is going to sit 90° on your hip at least for most people. This is my hugest gripe about the case. If the locking snap-in design had been rotated 90° I would like this holster soo much more. Clothes get caught if they are loose fit. The snap-in design does not feel natural so if you are multitasking and intuitively motion to secure your phone to your hip, you WILL fumble with it. Thus causing trapped garments or an insecure phone that could fall. The belt holster is a mildly thick stout plastic so I don't think it will break any time soon other then freak accidents. Lastly the tab to release the phone is stout, too stout which is good and bad. One handed retrieval is possible but hard depending on body position had it be designed to be a spring loaded hinge it would be perfect. With that said, 5/10 on the belt holster. Overall very good set especially due to limited 6p phone case selection. I would definitely buy another case but I'd look at other holster options unless this continues to be the only one out there. Excellent edc option
This light is about 4-5 inches in length total so its pocket footprint is miniscule at best. It's not only light weight but very bright for running off of just a single CR123, it's also visually just a few lumen shy of a fenix pd35 in turbo mode. The largest downside is you may feel like its expensive for its size, but it is well worth the dime for build quality and overall performance.
