Damaged discs ruin a great series. No Closed Captioning

The parts that my DVD player can play Are wonderful. Most of the discs that I’ve tried to watch are in pretty bad shape. I hate it when I watch most of an episode and then the disc freezes up. I hope it gets better when I have time to watch again. Haven’t had them very long. I use Closed Captioning when watching a movie or tv. These discs do NOT have cc.
