Removed stuck pup, saved the rest!
Bought this 7 years ago for my last litter and just bought it again for my current mama dog about to whelp. I like to be prepared and I'm so glad I bought this kit. I did end up needing to use the cath and lube to help mama pass a large stuck pup that was already dead and blocking the other babies from being born. Poor baby, it was sad but it saved mama from needing a painful surgery. The pups born after that were all healthy!
PLEASE get a breeding mentor if you have never whelped pups before and study all you can in case you encounter complications! I am so glad I knew what to do to help her, but all the knowledge in the world won't help if you don't have the tools to intervene. She could not have passed that pup without help and the delay that would have ensued if I had to rush her in for an emergency extraction and/or C section could have cost the rest of the litter their lives, too.
