If Prelutsky has a hand in it, it's gotta be good. :)

    Long and a bit confusing
I bought this book after my district recommended all employees read "Who Moved My Cheese?" in preparation for major cuts. I was curious about this version and wondered if it would work to read to the students. I have read it to a few classes, mostly first and second. The story seems to drag on and the students lose interest. It is definitely a quicker version of the story and the points are all there. There are questions at the back to read to kids to brainstorm about deeper meaning. One example, "What do you think is the cheese in your life?" Most kids answered with some type of cheese. I explained that it isn't really talking about cheese but something else that you are always reaching for and very important in your life. I still had only a few who thought of new answers like family or friends. All in all, the kids version is a good, summarized version of the adult book. But to the kids, it is just a story about mice and little people and looking for cheese. The deeper meaning doesn't come through for them.

    Good quality, great deal
I buy these for my students at the middle school level. I've only had a problem with one set (of probably 20) so far and that was replaced very quickly. I'm a repeat buyer, which speaks for itself.
