Good, with qualifications
At $299, it is a fantastic value, no doubt. Large screen - too large at times, maybe, but that is something I am willing to live with. Mostly fast. BUT...after the Marshmallow upgrade, it sometimes becomes slow at random times. Searching for contacts while trying to make a call will unexpectedly lead to the phone app crashing. And the camera - while decent - is awfully slow. Sometimes it will never start and then after 10 seconds or so, simply give up. Something is really wrong with the camera app in Marshmallow, and it affects not only this previous generation of the Nexus, but also the latest generation of the two Nexuses that came out last month.
