Ives, Ruggles and Piston
Many people will know the Ives and being an Ives fan it is given a superb performance. The Ruggles I am not sure about, not an easy listen I can assure you, he left very few works, eight in total I believe and was pretty obnoxious in his manners I believe. The Piston is something else very well written and superbly played whether it is the finest American Symphony I will leave that to someone else to give an opinion about. Roger

Excellent book and also an excellent CD. Would thoroughly recommend to all interested in American Classical Music.
