I let them know and offered to buy more, they shipped me not one but two dozen eggs to replace them. None were broken on second shipment! I would buy from them all day! They kept their word and did something that they didn’t have to do! Still good people left in the world!

Photography that Matters
This is my second book of Phil Borges' photographs. I have been following his career for 10 years. I've visited his exhibitions in different venues across the country. The photographs always have the ability to involve...to confront their viewers. I am especially impressed that his subjects (portraits) are identified.
They do not remain nameless National Geographics stereotypical examples of people and places. The portraits of the people are in stark focus against Borges' use of depth of field out of focus environments. They are literally in your face demanding recognition for their individuality. His use of hand colouring of the subjects and not the backgrounds strengthens the focus on the personalities of people as the work of no other living photographer I know.
I have attended talks that Phil Borges has given and spoken to him about his
travels, portraits of the peoples, and photography. I can only praise the man and his work for being honest, sincere, emotionally stimulating, politically
pertinent, breathtakingly beautiful, and soulfully important works of art.
I highly recommend his books and that you see Phil Borges' work in person whenever possible. To all who appreciate fine art and sharing its personalities that are offered through the eyes and camera of an extremely talented and gracious artist, Phil Borges will always offer enlightenment to your spiritheart

The bad thing about getting old, is remembering you were once young!
I love Loudon...that said...I heard him do many of the songs on this new CD at his concert with John Prine, in Albuquerque, last fall, and loved the stuff.
As Loudon, and the rest of us age, he tows us along in his quest, to accept, remember, and regret, with his wonderful sense of humour & absurdity, the one lane highway to death/hell/&whatever.
As always, we hear/learn, more about his old man, old ladies, and renewed (we hope) relationships with his
band of talented progeny. All together, a gigantic
bank of singer/song writers & performers.
I guess my favorites on the CD are "Older than my old man now" and a newer version of "Over the Hill". I hate to say it, but they're hummable tunes, and really nostalgic. The whole CD is great...Loudon in great Loudon-style...a must for all us followers and the rest of the uninitiated and in need of a grin & more!
