I sorted these to make two sets for my g...
I sorted these to make two sets for my grand-daughters sewing kits. A good half pound were broken,chipped, malformed, without holes. All were under 1/2 inch, nothing was of use for everyday ware repairs. So I did have to supplement from my own collection. Many show signs of use and being scavenged. I would class these as Baby and Child Buttons, all colors and some matched sets for full outfits.

Expiration Dates are not always needed.
1 of 1 found this helpful You needn't worry about an expiration date. These are made and packaged to last till used, I do mark which year I purchased each on their cellophane wrapper. Plus on my Inventory Paper in my Big Battery Box. I weed these out just before Christmas by donating those with only 1 year left. It is also a good time of the year to replenish as most are on sale. International SHAKEout is in October, so am getting ready for FEMA C.E.R.T. exercizes with an all Emergency Prep Supply Inventory. You would be surprised at what power these can deliver and what machines can use their juice. Though these can be found in Home Centers, Builders Supply, DIY Tool Centers; it is nice to have a go to place to find all kinds and our favorites in multi-packs. Which means the same life span. It makes a differance what kind of product these are used in. Consider your lightbulbs at home. The old ones gobble up juice and LEDs are all on diets. I am thinking about replacing my old lanterns with new ones.
